Fork Lift

How long does it take?
Practical evaluations take approximately one-half 4 hours to conduct, and are done in the presence of a company supervisor.

Onsite forklift certification will teach participants / employees how to identify specific health and safety hazards in the workplace associated with operating a powered industrial lift truck as well responsibilities that all parties have when a forklift is in operation.

The course provides participants a general understanding of the safe and efficient operation of an industrial powered fork truck, and assists companies in complying with federal and provincial regulations.

Forklift Operator Training Course outline:

The two divisions to the forklift certification program include classroom theory & practical evaluation.

Review legislation provincial and federal and explain the reasoning for necessary training.

Outline the responsibilities of all parties.

Group discussion on experiences of actual incidents or close calls.

Pre-shift inspections.

Stability triangle / trapezoid.

Centre of Gravity of the load & Centre of Gravity of the truck.

Capacity of Industrial Forklifts, capacity plates (reading & understanding)

Specific hazards & controls when driving an Industrial Forklift.

How to respond to an emergency situation involving an Industrial Forklift Truck.

List specific driving rules to your use of Industrial Forklifts.

Forklift training will involve verification and review of 50 questions, True & False and multiple choice format.


How long does the forklift safety training course take?
Between 3-5 hours depending on the number of participants attending. Theory portion will take approximately 2-3 hours with the practical portion filling in the remainder of the time. Practical portion maybe scheduled right after the theory or at another time

Do you issue forklift cards?
Yes, we will issue a forklift card upon passing and completion of the course.

Where do we do driver operator training?
We will come down to your shop or warehouse and train on the machines that you are currently using. Scheduling can be done at the convenience of the employer.
Yes, we will issue a aerial lift operator certification card upon passing and completion of both sections in this course.
